“Amelia’s New Friend”
Amelia’s house was in a quiet place.It
was a hilly village.The garden of her house was very beautiful.Flowers with
various colours grew there.Amelia grew some roses . She’s nature lover.One day
Amalia closed her book.She felt tired after studying hard.She stood by the
window.She could see the mountain from there.It was a beautiful bluish green.
“How beautiful!How wonderful it would be if I could reach the top of that mountain
without climbing”
“If you want to fly up there,follow me,”said a soft voice.Amelia was
surprised.
“Who are you?Why did you come in without permission?”
“My name is Yuli.My home is a bit far from here.I want to be your
friend,Amelia,”said the girl.
“You know my name ?”said Amelia
“I often hear your mother calling you,”Yuli answered.She reached out her
hand to Amelia.Amelia shook Yuli’s hand.
“Why is your hand so cold?Are you ill?”asked Amelia ,worried.
“I haven’t been to school for few days ,”said Yuli.
“If you were sick,why aren’t you in bed now?”asked Amelia.
“The fresh air will make me better ,Amelia ,”said Yuli pulled Amelia’s
hand.She wanted Amelia to follow her.
“oh no.I can’t go now.I must do my homework.How about tomorrow ?My
mother will make some delicious cakes for me.You must taste some,Yuli”said
Amelia.
“Thanks,Amelia.You are so kind.”Yuli waved to Amelia and then she was
gone.Amelia’s mother was puzzled to see her daughter talking alone.

LONDON
London,the capital city of England,has been one of the major cities in Europe for centuries.Because of its long history ,it has
many old buildings.
The historical centre of London is now a relatively small area still
known as the City,which covers only about 2,6 sq m (about 1 sq mi).The City is
capitalized,to distinguish it from the larger metropolis.This is where London
began as a Roman colonial town around AD 50,at the point where the Romans built
the first bridge in London .Today this area is one of the word’s leading
financial centres.Most of the financial activities are crowded along
Threadneedle Street,near the intersection known as the Bank,which includes the
huge Bank of England complex,the Royal Exchange and the Stock Exchange .The
permanent residential population of the City is now less than 6000, but about
350,000 commute here daily to work .The only large residential portion of the
City is the Barbican Centre,a concrete complex of towers,parking garages and
pedestrian walkways located on the northern edge of the City.The Barbican was
built to replace older buildings destroyed in World War II (1939-1945),when the
Germans heavily bombed London

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has
vowed to end the Deepwater oil leak by stuffing trillions of wadded-up dollars
inside the pipe. According to Fed sources, Bernanke has created huge 'cash
balls' for the purpose of plugging up the oil. "Fed printing presses
haven't stopped running since the Stimulus Plan," said a source close to
the chairman. "We can't spend money fast enough and we're running out of
storage space. Maybe the cash will do some good at the bottom of the
Gulf." Bernanke plans on using visualization to improve his aim,
pretending the Deepwater opening belongs to Goldman-Sachs, thus lending the
operation an air of realism.
